Submit Your Music To Rhythm & Jazz Radio!

Music Submissions From Artists and Bands

  Rhythm & Jazz Radio happily accepts CD submissions from artists and bands wishing airplay.  We ask the following:

    * Please listen to the station first and ask yourself--does my music fit into this format?
    * If you have a website that lists radio stations providing airplay to your music, we require that a link be placed on your site back to ours.  Why?  Because your fans ought to know that they can hear your music on Rhythm & Jazz Radio. We'll be happy to provide our station logo to you for this purpose.

    * If you send us an UNSOLICITED mp3 via email, we will not preview it and we will not play it.   This also applies to your songs posted on MySpace and ReverbNation. We  prefer to have a physical CD but we will accept an email invitation to visit your site and sample your tracks, if available for listening. We will then contact you if we feel your music is a good fit for Rhythm & Jazz Radio and discuss your submitting of mp3s to us.

What to Send

    * Professionally duplicated production run airplay/promo copy of your CD
    * One-sheet (bio, info about the album, etc.)

What Not to Send

    * HUGE press kits with glossy photos. Though they are appreciated and could be used in website promotions, they will NOT guarantee airplay.
    * Promotional schwag (pens, postcards, calendars, T-shirts, etc.)
    * UNSOLICITED MP3 files via e-mail (see above).
    * CD-R demos of your songs -  Given how relatively inexpensive home recording equipment and CD pressing services have become, we do not believe this to be unreasonable.

Where to Send What You're Sending

Submissions by US Mail, FedEx, and UPS may be sent to:

Rhythm & Jazz Radio
Broadcast Center
646 Ellor Dr.  #100
San Antonio, Texas  78228-5921

Other things you ought to know:

We will be happy to confirm whether we received a CD you sent, but we would prefer not to receive e-mails asking us how we liked it.

If we add your music to Rhythm & Jazz Radio, we will notify you by email. You will be advised of the number of spins per day and for how many days/months your music can expect to be featured.

It may take us a couple of days to preview your CD.  We  try to review CDs in something akin to the order they are received, but if we get a new advance CD in the mail from one of our marketing associates with which a working relationship is already in place, that CD will be primary in the preview queue before any other CD.

You can see whether your music is in rotation on any station on Live365 by going to the Listen page and entering your name or the album name in the search box.  Any station that has your music in rotation or has played it recently will be returned by the search function.

Rhythm & Jazz Radio reserves the right NOT to add a submitted track for reasons including, but not limited to the following:

    * Stylistically, it does not fit our format.  We know it seems like our format contains a wide variety of material, but there are genres stylistically we will not delve into.
    * Poor production quality.
    * Off-pitch singing. We might excuse a missed note or two in an otherwise strong live performance, but we will not air musicians with continuous pitch problems in a studio setting.
    * Cliché-filled, trite high-school poetry quality lyrics.
    * Track contains profanity or other language that we find offensive.
